To Storage Facilities,
Just wanted to drop you a thank you note. You did a great job during my
recent move. I was able to find a mini storage facility fast and easy.
Everything went great, from the first form that I submitted to the actual
move. I received many interesting Self Storage Quotes and I was able to
sort them out and to choose the best one for my needs. I am also
spreading the word around about your website!

To StorageFacilities team
I am writing to commend the service of your website. I really appreciated
your service and I did not even know that it exists. Only at the last minute,
I learned that my new home is not ready because the builder did not
receive a certificate of occupancy. I panicked. I have no place to store
my furniture. I needed to find a self storage facility near my new home. I
filled out the form on your site and in a very short time I was able to rent
a storage unit 3000 miles away. You made my life so much easier and I
thank you for that.

Computer Storage

Moving and storing your computer, computer softwares, printers and other peripherals are quietly conveniently done with the help of an expert mover or a self-storage unit. One of the most important things you should do before you pack your computer, is to take a back up of all your important data. You can store the data by burning it in a CD. You can store all such back up CDs in a secure container. You should remove the DVD-ROMS, CD-ROMS, floppy disks etc from your computer. You can even take the hard disk and keep it in a secure box if you want.

You should always shut down the computer first before unplugging it. When you pack your printer, you should unplug the cord, disconnect the cable and park the print head. You should remove the cartridges. You can preferably pack your computer and the peripheral devices in the original box they came in.

The CPU is the heart of your computer. The tower as it is usually called should be packed upright or on its side with the motherboard side lying flat on the base. If the CPU is packed with the motherboard side at the top, then it can cause the internal parts to get detached during the transportation. Not that it is damaging, but it can simply increase your workload, besides you may have to pay the engineer to fit things back in place if you are not well versed with computer hardware knowledge. If the original box is not available to pack, then you can pack the tower in an apt sized box with a bubble wrap.

You should also take special care to protect and pack your monitor. The screen made of glass can break or be vulnerable to scratches and cracks. So you should pack the monitor in the original box. In case it is not available you can pack it in the box of appropriate size and a shock resistant insulation in the form of a bubble wrap.
